The Manual: Managing a Children’s Service

ImageManaging a children’s service and making it all work is a complex task for the many directors, management committees and childcare staff who work in services throughout New South Wales. The needs of the sector are constantly changing – children’s services need to be informed and kept up to date about these changes. The Manual: Managing a Children’s Service offers extensive information about licensing, accreditation, legal matters, finances, employing and managing staff, ethics, occupational health and safety, marketing, policy development and strategic planning. It also offers advice on how to advocate on the behalf of children and contains a wide range of sample forms that can be used by services on a daily basis. The Manual: Managing a Children’s Service is an essential resource for service managers, committees and owners, as well as a key educational tool for students and those wishing to enter the field.
